If  Ouarzazate is the “Door of the Desert,” then the Fint Oasis, might well be the desert’s garden. Leaving Ouarzazate and traversing the arid, barren terrain of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, it’s virtually difficult to picture any location so verdant, lush, and full of life on the horizon. But then you notice it: a huge, lush palm grove alive with plant, animal, and community life.

About Ouarzazate :

known as the Door of the Desert was formerly the perfect crossing point for trade between the High Atlas and the Sahara Desert. In the Taourirt Kasbah, people from the Atlas, Draa, and Dades Valley would come to sell products and news. The French erected a fortress on the property in the 1920s to keep an eye on the trade activity in the region. Since then, Ouarzazate has been a popular destination for both business and leisure.

Day 01: Marrakech / Tishka Pass / Telouat / Ait Ben Haddou / Fint Oasis.
We begin our 2-day travel from Marrakech to Ouarzazate at 8:00 a.m., passing the high Atlas mountains "Tizi n'Tishka." Pass 2260 meters over spectacularly colored scenery. After passing across the pass, we turn right toward Telouet's Kasbah. We explore this fascinating fortress before continuing on to Ait Ben Haddou via the Ounila valley. This caravan stop town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, provides stunning views. The historic Kasbah Tifoultout, located 8 kilometers outside of the city, is our next stop. From 1912 through 1956, this castle belonged to the family of Thami El Glaoui, Pasha of Marrakech. We'll continue on to the Oasis Fint, where you'll be spending the night.

Day 02 : Fint oasis / Ouarzazate / Marrakech.
After breakfast, we embark on a guided tour of Fint Oasis and stop at a local family's home for a mint tea. You'll get time to explore the river's calm and beautiful sanctuary with a guide and learn about the friendly locals' daily lives. We visit Ouarzazat, a former French military garrison town that is today a bustling metropolis. It drew filmmakers from all over the globe because of its strategic location at the foot of both the high and anti atlas, with lovely surroundings. In the morning, we go to the movie studios, Taourirt Kasbah, and Fint's oasis. We return to Marrakech in the afternoon through the Tishka Pass.
